Well, I don’t care who slapped who and for what reason but I wonder if a person of Sharad Pawar’s stature with all the security at disposal can get assaulted in public, then what a common man in India is placed at? No wonder a terrorist comes in and head shots a few, captures the entire hotel and is now safe with more than 16 crs rupees being spent quiescently.

Also, I wonder if slapping, assaulting or humiliating a person will change anything for the nation, the transformation has to come progressively and we the people have to bring the change by being a good inhabitant and then being the face of India in all meadows, including Politics.

Kisan Baburao Hazare who was born on 15 June, 1937 in Bhingar, Hinganghat, Maharashtra has become one of the most feared person by the corrupt in the nation, he has been putting them in the anxiety state for a while and all this by following the path similar to Satyagraha, created by our own Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi.

Anna obviously is not the new Gandhi and he has said the same when asked by the press, but I feel following should be some good unsaid anecdotes on why Anna is not Gandhi.

1) Anna Hazare wears a Gandhi topi (cap) but Gandhi never wore one and even if he did, I guess that would have been made of Khaki and not cotton.

2) They both were fighters by profession, Gandhi being a lawyer and Anna being an Army man. It makes sense the way Gandhi went on with his fight for freedom, by voice and not by hands. Anna on the other hand did exactly opposite; he should have ideally made a good fit in political parties like Shiv Sena or MNS.

3) Gandhi was married and had 4 kids, one of them being Devdas, no not the one from the movie. Anna decided not to marry and devote 101% of him towards the nation.

4) Gandhi’s revolution was huge, with Indian population at 35 crs at that time; I believe at least 50-55% would have supported him, so around 18 crs supported his cause. For Anna only 1.5 crs people gave missed calls and little would have actually gone on to join the march. So 1.5 crs from a population of 1.5 billion is almost nothing in percentage.

5) Anna actually ran like a 100 meters sprinter, even after been put behind the bars and on fast. Gandhi would have been the swiftest walker in the Dandhi march, not a runner for sure.

6) Bappu’s nick name is longer than Anna’s, Anna means brother, Bappu means father, and do the math.

7) Gandhi had a political party, Anna is behind political parties!

Well, I can write more dumb things, but I’m bored already. I wish all the best to Anna and his revolution.

Television reality shows and their unjustified fundas.

Well I don’t care much about many reality shows on T.V, but when it plays you tend to watch and thanks to my mom for the same. There is this Reality show X-Factor which is judged by great singers like Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal and Director/Producer Sanjay Leela Bansali.

The show is about singing/stage performance which obviously does not go well with the show’s name “x-factor”. I generally like singing reality shows than other niche reality show, the reason being….. music is something I like, just like the 98.56 % of people I know.

Singing Show

Last week there was elimination on X-factor, out of the top 5 contestant’s one had to go, three of them were safe as they were voted the most and there was the bottom 2, being voted the least. The judges had to choose one out of the two (Seema Jha – A girl who is around 4.5 feet tall and Deewana – A group of 7-10 odd men, who are apparently taller than the girl, well most of India would be.)

That seemed a simple choice, choose the girl, she is little and cannot sing in chorus like the huge group of men did.

So what did the Judges do?

A tight slap on the face of the voters! ….. They cancelled the elimination on the day calming that the voting is not proper and both the parties in the elimination did not deserve to be there, in other words, those who were safe did not deserve to be? Who are the judges to decide that and even if they do, why do you ask people to vote in the first place? Are you saying that the voters are wide of the mark?

So what did the Voters do?

A tight slap back, This week they again put the same contestants on elimination, hahaha!

So what did the Judges do?

They secured the little girl …….. and if I may ask, why you didn’t do that in the first place? I liked the Deewana group as each one of them had a unique hairdo, I guess most of them just stood there and did not sing at all. Shreya Ghoshal thought that it was a difficult decision to make and actually went off the stage to take the verdict, maybe she chose to “Phone a Friend”

I have nothing against the show or the channel, but I’m sure, those who voted would have felt cheated.

Just my 2 rants!

Wife got me a Guitar as the birthday gift and even got an instructor with it. Being able to play the Guitar was one of the most yearning feelings I have had since childhood and finally I’m getting to live it.

Today was the second session of my Guitar classes and I was able to play my first Guitar tune and that got a big smile on the face. The tune is not perfect but you will be able to make out, when I master the tune, I will upload a video or audio. The tune is from the movie Karz, not the one with Himesh Reshamiya!

It all looked effortless but now I know that Guitar is not that simple to learn, you need a good tutor and lot of ardour, you also need flexi fingers!

In case any of you are looking for a Guitar tutor then do get in touch with me.
